March saw the visit of 16 French students from Pont-De-Chéruy General and Technical College near Lyon. The students are all studying International Trade and were over in the UK visiting various companies in the North, Manchester Chamber of Commerce & Sheffield University. Staying in Sheffield during their 5 day visit.
Given a talk and a tour of Newland manufacturing facilities by Mrs Lynn Kerfoot MBE Managing Director & Mr Michael Kyrycz Export Sales Manager. During the tour around the factory they were able to view export machines nearer completion in the fitting / assembly department that were bound for Nigeria, Guinea & Oman. They were surprised that the wording on the machines for Guinea was in French. We explained that the export machines had wording in the primary language of the country destined for with certain exceptions where English is the requested language.
