Our American distributor had an enquiry from Sanofi Pasteur for a mobile belt conveyor to load & unload long wheel base vans from a raised loading dock. The floor height of the vans are much lower than the dock floor height causing a problem when loading or unloading.
The conveyor had to be able to lower down 25deg from horizontal in order to reach into the smaller vans from the loading dock.
The mobile conveyor had to have a small closed length as there was very little space available on the loading dock at the Sanofi site.
The solution was a modified Newland Vanloader with a lower central post height & shorter rear boom. The front section with telescopic belt action remained the same.
The hydraulic ram mounting positions were also lowered to achieve the reach required below dock height.
The machine is fitted with push button control motorised telescopic belt action & motorised hydraulic height adjustment on front & rear booms.
A PE product sensor belt stop is fitted on the telescopic boom.
The end result is a mobile telescopic conveyor that is compact & robust. A very neat little unit.
