One of the world’s leading logistic companies hires Newland telescopic boom conveyor model MTC3X on fully mobile ”twin powered wheel” chassis

multi-telescopic conveyor on fully mobile chassis

Newland recently supplied one of their telescopic belt models for hire to Kuehne + Nagel Ltd at their Nottingham East Midlands Gateway distribution depot.

The telescopic belt conveyor is mounted on a fully mobile twin powered wheel chassis that allows it to be moved sideways, traversing along the loading dock with ease to be used on multiple doorways unloading/loading 13.6 m trailers & 40ft containers.

As soon as a trailer or container is unloaded or loaded the conveyor can be moved to the next door to start the next unloading/loading operation. No ‘downtime’ while the previous trailer or container is moved & a ‘fresh’ unit is placed at the door ready for unloading/loading.

The Newland twin powered wheel design also enables the machine to be moved forwards/backwards,

diagonally & full 360 deg movement. A very versatile powered mobile chassis.

Power supply is via an overhead cable reeling drum mounted on a mast with a 15.0 m extend/retract cable.

Operator training was given by one of our installation & service engineer’s.

Mr Richard Hay Site Operations and Process Manager (Ntg F-OM) stated ”The feedback ref the current machine is really good and we are seeing great results in increased productivity as well as the benefits on manual handling risk reductions”.
