Visit from Enworks to look at energy reduction in the whole of the manufacturing plant. Part of Newlands ‘ Total Eco Green Strategy’ which includes machine design & operation.
MAY
Exhibiting at Groothandel & Logistiek in Eindhoven, Netherlands with our Dutch distributors Pewisys Materials Handling.
JUNE
Further increase in UK orders & worldwide for The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Mexico & Colombia.
JULY
Ed Greasley grandson of Newland founder Mr Cecil Greasley moves to the Technical Department. SEPTEMBER
Visit to our Russian distributor Greenhill Group LLC & Cemat Moscow exhibition.
OCTOBER
All remaining machines on hire fleet sent to Royal Mail & Parcel Force to aid with ‘Autumn Pressure’ [Build up to Christmas].
NOVEMBER
As members of The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Newland were offered a skills review for all staff. As part of our continuous improvement strategy. This has helped us to offer all employees the opportunity to take part in further personal development. Meetings with our French & Portuguese distributors at Manutention exhibition Paris.
DECEMBER
Tameside College annual prize awards evening for Engineering Technologies & Construction Building Services held on the 9th December. Newland was asked to sponsor the new ‘higher Education Award’.
